There’s an interesting twist in this study. It turns out that guys who are content with their penis size are actually more likely to own guns, debunking the commonly held belief about men with size issues being the ones packing heat.
The research team from the University of Texas at San Antonio has thrown a curveball by suggesting that gun ownership might not be linked to insecurity about the size of their manhood, even though guns are often seen as symbols of masculinity.
The study involved asking men about their satisfaction with their penis size and whether they attempted any enhancement methods. They were also questioned about owning military-style weapons or guns.
Surprisingly, the study revealed that men who were okay with their size were more likely to have guns. In fact, for every unit increase in penis satisfaction, the likelihood of owning a gun dropped by 11% and decreased by 20% for owning an assault-style rifle.
The study also found that dissatisfaction with size was higher among men aged 18-29 and 45-59, with older men showing the strongest association. Other factors linked to gun ownership included being straight, obese, residing in the South, and adhering to traditional masculine traits.
All these fascinating findings were documented in the American Journal of Men’s Health.
