Former President Donald Trump will be speaking at Turning Point Action (TPA’s) convention in Michigan on Saturday as part of his 2024 campaign.
Trump and Joe Biden are the nominees for the Republican and Democratic Parties in the upcoming election. Polls suggest a close competition between the two candidates.
The event, named ‘The People’s Convention’, will be held in Detroit at the Huntington Place Convention Center. Trump is scheduled to speak at 3:10 p.m., with doors opening at 9:30 a.m.
TPA members can watch the event on Charlie Kirk‘s website. 7 News Detroit will also broadcast Trump’s speech.
The convention, hosted by Turning Point USA, will feature various conservative and Republican leaders. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and former Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy are among the attendees.
Trump’s speech topic remains unknown, but it will be his first public address in Detroit since his supporters protested the 2020 election results at the TCF Center.
In August 2023, the Department of Justice brought four charges against Trump, who denies the allegations. Recent polls show Biden leading nationally over Trump, with battleground states being crucial in determining election outcomes due to the Electoral College system.
