Back in 2001, the NFL kicked off the “Hard Knocks” series, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at team operations from training camp to roster cuts. The Baltimore Ravens were the inaugural featured team.
From its single-team focus, “Hard Knocks” has since evolved to showcase two teams simultaneously, starting in 2021 with the “In-Season” format featuring teams mid-season, starting with the Indianapolis Colts.
Now, taking it to the next level, the NFL has announced that the 2024 In-Season format will highlight not just one, but four teams from an entire division—the AFC North.
NFL specialist Ari Meirov shared the groundbreaking news that the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Browns will step into the spotlight for the new season on “Hard Knocks In-Season,” starting December 3 on HBO.
The AFC North boasts a rich history, with the Steelers, Bengals, and Browns tracing back to the 1930s, 40s, and 60s, respectively.
Among these teams, the Ravens stand out as a strong contender, having been seen as Super Bowl hopefuls in 2023. Although their journey ended in a playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, they are expected to vie for the AFC crown in 2024.
The Steelers have shaken up their quarterback lineup by adding Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, gearing up as a potential dark horse in the playoffs after climbing in last season.
On the flip side, the Bengals strive for a comeback with a healthy Joe Burrow leading their explosive offense into the postseason.
The Browns, disheartened by a playoff defeat in 2024, anticipate a strong return with a fit Deshaun Watson at quarterback.
With stakes high, the AFC North’s portrayal in “Hard Knocks In-Season” promises excitement as these teams gear up with fierce matches ahead.
