Details have emerged about a tragic mass shooting near Las Vegas that resulted in the deaths of five people, including the gunman who turned the weapon on himself.
The shooter, Adams, targeted his ex-girlfriend’s daughter and her girlfriend, before shooting a man who tried to help them, for reasons that remain unknown.
He then proceeded to the upstairs apartment, where he shot the man’s grandmother, mother, and sister, without realizing two other individuals were present but unharmed. The 13-year-old girl was critically injured and taken to the hospital, while the remaining victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
After taking his ex-girlfriend hostage, Adams fled the scene but she managed to escape and seek help from a police officer conducting a traffic stop.
Following reports of the shooting, a manhunt for Adams was launched, warning the public about his armed and dangerous status.
Ultimately, Adams was located and when confronted by officers, he tragically took his own life.
Authorities assured the community that there is no further threat, and support is being provided to the survivors and their families.
