Blake Shelton, one of country music’s biggest names, continues to embrace his roots. On October 14, he made a heartfelt visit to Ada High School in Ada, Oklahoma, where he announced a new collaboration with Music Will to enhance the music program for students.
“I wanted to be involved because this is an amazing chance for students interested in music,” Shelton shared. “Whether you envision a career in music or just want to pick up the guitar, this is for you. Huge thanks to Music Will for making this happen.”
Shelton later posted a video recap of his visit on Instagram, where Music Will expressed gratitude for his support, writing, “Thank you, Blake, for believing in the power of music education. We’re excited to see these students and their communities thrive!”
Fans chimed in with appreciation for Shelton’s efforts at his former school, which he graduated from in 1994. “You’ve always been a fantastic mentor for kids and music,” one fan commented. Another expressed their gratitude for his “precious gifts,” calling the initiative “so cool.”
“I love your humility despite your success,” added another supporter. “You’re a fantastic role model for young people and for us older folks as well!”
Recently, Shelton has been spending quality time in Oklahoma, even attending a performance by his stepson, Zuma, at a bar he owns back in August. He and his wife, Gwen Stefani, divide their time between homes in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and Los Angeles, California. After their marriage in 2021, Shelton embraced his role as a stepfather to Stefani’s three children: Kingston, 18; Zuma, 16; and Apollo, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
