Even the tiniest celebrities have their quirks! Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and co-owner of Kansas City Current, recently shared a little hiccup they’ve encountered with their son, Bronze, especially during meals. While traveling in Europe, a quick solution to keep dinner peaceful turned into what Brittany now calls a “bad habit.”
On their family vacation, Bronze, at just 18 months old, discovered a new mealtime buddy: the TV. To avoid public meltdowns from their picky eater, they let him watch shows during meals. It worked like a charm—Bronze ate without any fuss! But upon returning home, that temporary fix stuck a bit too well.
Brittany took to her Instagram Stories, saying, “We started a bad habit with Bronze on vacation. We let him watch TV while eating just to keep him calm and avoid public meltdowns since he isn’t the greatest eater and throws huge fits about it.”
She added, “Now that we’re home, we’re trying to break this habit, but he won’t eat at all unless there’s a show on. When he does, he’ll eat anything! I need tips on how to change this!” To engage her followers, she opened a Q&A box for advice.
Fans and fellow moms quickly chimed in. Appreciating the support, Brittany responded, “I see a lot of moms dealing with this, much love. A ton asked me to share, so I will!”
Here are some helpful tips shared:
“Let him be! Pick your battles. If it brings you peace, don’t fight it. You’re a great mama!” suggested one user.
“As a therapist, consistency is key. Don’t give in, not even once,” advised another.
“Go cold turkey—it’ll be tough for a week, but he won’t starve himself,” suggested yet another.
As Brittany tackles these toddler challenges, the Mahomes family is also gearing up to welcome their third child. Patrick recently expressed his excitement at a Chiefs press conference, sharing that three kids will complete their family.
