We’ve all had that awkward dream about showing up to a big event without pants, but for Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, that nightmare happened for real during practice.
A recent Instagram reel posted by the team captured 28-year-old Mahomes arriving without his pants. Fortunately, he was sporting shorts, so it wasn’t too scandalous. His wife, Brittany, took a playful jab at him on her own Instagram story, saying, “Sorry I’m not there to dress you,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.

In the video, Mahomes seemed to realize his wardrobe blunder and suggested to an assistant coach, “Maybe people will think my quads are so big they just look like pants.” The skeptical coach simply replied, “I doubt it.” Ultimately, Mahomes decided to make a quick trip off the field to get changed, humorously admitting, “I look like an idiot now, dude.”
Patrick and Brittany met in high school and tied the knot in 2022. They welcomed their first daughter, Sterling Skye, in 2021, during their engagement, and their second child, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, in November 2022. Excitingly, the couple announced on July 12 that they are expecting their third child, revealing the news of another girl amidst a fun celebration filled with pink balloons and a large tic-tac-toe board. As their kids grow, it will be entertaining to see if they share their father’s knack for wardrobe mishaps!
