Snoop Dogg has captured the hearts of many during the 2024 Paris Olympics, not only as a torchbearer prior to the opening ceremony but also for his warm rapport with the city and the family of gymnast Simone Biles.
On August 8, Snoop went the extra mile for Ronald Biles, Simone’s father, by gifting him a stunning chain for his 75th birthday.
Simone, 27, shared a sweet moment on her Instagram Story, showing her dad proudly donning the gold Death Row chain, a thoughtful present linked to Snoop’s legendary label. Along with the gift, the family celebrated with a delicious birthday cake. Simone’s sister, Adria Biles, also posted a photo of their dad rocking his new accessory, captioned, “Snoop gave him a chain now he don’t know how to act. 75 looks great on you! Happy birthday, I love you!”
Besides celebrating birthdays, Snoop, 52, also took on the role of a special correspondent for NBC during the Games. He spent quality time with the Biles family, attending a track and field event where Biles got to experience the excitement from the stands—something she shared in a video on X (formerly Twitter), expressing, “I’ve actually never watched any other event before [that wasn’t mine], so this is my first time. Yeah, ever.”
During a gymnastics event on July 28, Simone’s teammate, Jordan Chiles, spotted Snoop dancing in the stands sporting a Simone shirt, leading to an impromptu dance party that amplified the fun! Biles and Chiles joined in, marking an unforgettable moment.
Simone’s parents, Nellie and Ronald, enjoyed the Opening Ceremony alongside Snoop and Hoda Kotb. Recalling a past encounter, Nellie shared, “I’ll never forget we met you in Times Square in 2010. We asked for a picture and you said, ‘Two minutes.’ One, two, and you were gone.”
