Snoop Dogg Weighs In on the Drama Between Martha Stewart and Ina Garten

Snoop Dogg is always ready to defend his friends, especially his close pal, Martha Stewart. During the October 20 episode of Watch What Happens Live, the 83-year-old lifestyle icon discussed her recent fallout with fellow food personality Ina Garten, with Snoop, 53, right there to back her up.

Host Andy Cohen asked Martha about Garten’s new memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens. When he inquired if she’d read it, Martha mentioned she’d only read “parts” — specifically those that reference her, prompting Cohen to ask for her thoughts. She simply remarked, “She can write whatever she wants.”

In a fun twist, Martha served as the bartender on the episode, celebrating Snoop’s 53rd birthday alongside guest Seth Meyers.

Snoop admitted he hadn’t read the memoir, asking for the details. Cohen shared that Ina believes their friendship ended because she moved to Connecticut. Without missing a beat, Snoop chimed in, “That’s weak,” affirming that Martha doesn’t typically lose friends.

Martha added that she thinks their friendship ended “after I went to jail,” referring to her 2004 conviction which resulted in a five-month prison sentence. Snoop humorously responded, “That’s when I stepped in,” eliciting cheers from the audience. Cohen noted, “When one friend goes out the door, another friend comes in the door.”

Bravo shared this amusing moment on Instagram, and fans quickly voiced their support for the duo.

One comment read, “I love that Snoop was immediately ready to go hard for Martha without even knowing what Andy was going to say.” Another fan exclaimed, “Look at Snoop sticking up for his homegirl Martha! ❤️.”

Martha and Snoop first crossed paths in 2008 on her cooking show, with Martha later praising his infectious giggle and zest for learning. Their friendship blossomed, leading them to co-host the 2016 series Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.
