Tarek El Moussa is still wrapping his head around the concept of his new HGTV show, The Flip Off.
At 43, Tarek will be competing alongside his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, against his ex-wife, Christina Hall, in this fresh real estate competition.
In an interview with Us Weekly during the Us Weekly + Pluto TV Reality Stars of the Year Party on October 10, Tarek expressed his disbelief, stating, “Man, I never, ever in my life thought this show would happen. Sometimes I just look over at Heather and then at Christina and think, ‘How did I get here?’

Christina, 41, chimed in, acknowledging Tarek’s thoughts, saying, “He often wonders how he ended up building with both his ex-wife and his wife.”
In this new competition, Tarek and Heather will go head-to-head against Christina, who was originally supposed to team up with her recent ex-husband, Josh, before their divorce in July put a wrench in those plans.
Tarek and Christina were married for nine years starting in May 2009, welcoming daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 8, while running their joint venture on HGTV’s Flip or Flop until its cancellation in 2022.
Meanwhile, Tarek and Heather began dating in 2019 and tied the knot three years later, with their wedding featured in the Disney+ special Tarek and Heather: The Big I Do. The couple welcomed their son, Tristan, in 2023.
