Jason Priestley, who played Brandon Walsh, Brenda’s twin brother, was among the first cast members to pay tribute to Doherty after her passing.
Expressing shock and sadness, Priestley shared a heartfelt message and a photo of him and Doherty as the Walsh twins on Instagram.
Carol Potter, who portrayed their mom, Cindy Walsh, also shared her condolences for Doherty on social media.
Gabrielle Carteris, known for her role as Andrea Zuckerman, also mourned the loss of Doherty, emphasizing her youth.
Both Carteris and Potter shared sky photos in their tributes.
The news of Doherty’s passing was confirmed by her longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, who revealed she passed away on July 13 surrounded by loved ones and her dog, Bowie.
Doherty’s death comes five years after Luke Perry’s passing, who played Dylan McKay on 90210 and was Doherty’s onscreen love interest. Perry died of a stroke in 2019 at 52.
