Jason Kelce, the iconic center of the Philadelphia Eagles, is carving out a new path as an analyst after hanging up his NFL jersey. Following his debut on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown on September 30, fans took to social media to critique his distinctive outfit, which featured jeans, a plaid jacket, and untied boots. The playful comparisons began, with some likening him to cartoon favorite, Bob the Builder.
“Can we fix it?” quipped one user on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter), referencing the catchphrase associated with the character. Another user humorously noted his eclectic style, saying, “bronx waist down and upper west side waist up,” alongside a snapshot of Kelce on the show.
Another memorable moment came when a fan shared a photo of Jason sporting a straw hat and sunglasses along with his quirky outfit, calling him “one of a kind.”
After retiring from the NFL in March 2024, Jason found his new broadcasting home with ESPN, despite interest from other networks like NBC and CBS. His transition into this role comes just two months after stepping off the field for good in February.
Recently, Jason also went viral reacting to his brother Travis Kelce’s new FX show, Grotesquerie. This series, created by Ryan Murphy, features a detective (played by Niecy Nash) collaborating with a local nun to solve grisly crimes, including a shocking scene involving a boiled baby, which Travis’s character is implicated in.
After witnessing the unsettling scene, Jason humorously took to X to share his feelings, stating, “If Travis boiled a baby, I’m gonna be real p***** #Grotesquerie.” This led to a slew of reactions, with one fan responding, “cut him some slack, you should have expected he was a killa,” referring to Travis’s Instagram username, @killatrav. Another commented, “Real weird tweet until I found out what Grotesquerie was 😂.”
