A charming moment featuring Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte has gained traction on TikTok, with clips from Charlotte’s first big overseas tour making the rounds on social media.
Charlotte, born on May 2, 2015, is Kate and Prince William’s middle child and their only daughter. This year, she celebrated her ninth birthday with a lovely portrait taken by her mother.
Currently in third place for the British throne, following her dad and older brother Prince George, Charlotte has been spotted at several prominent events lately, including the coronation of her grandfather, King Charles III, in May 2023.
The heartwarming clip, shared by TikTok user trhwales on August 10, shows Kate and Charlotte at a children’s party during their 2016 royal tour of Canada. It has racked up over 180,000 views so far.
At the time, Kate and William brought their two oldest kids on a tour of Vancouver and British Columbia. Their youngest child, Prince Louis, hadn’t been born yet—he arrived in April 2018.
During their Canadian journey, the family stayed in Victoria on Vancouver Island, where the kids participated in welcome and farewell events, as well as a special gathering at Government House.
In the TikTok video, Kate is seen petting a dog at the party and invites her toddler daughter to join in the fun. “Look Charlotte, Charlotte look,” she calls. The clip captures Charlotte happily sitting on the dog’s back and giving it some affection.
