On Sunday, Meghan Markle shared an adorable update about her three-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, while wrapping up her tour of Colombia alongside Prince Harry. The couple left their children—five-year-old Prince Archie and Lilibet—at their home in California during their four-day visit, which took place from August 15 to 18 at the invitation of Vice President Francia Márquez.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have largely shielded their kids from the public eye. They’ve offered occasional insights into their parenting journey during official events and provided glimpses of family footage in their 2022 docuseries, Harry & Meghan. So far, only one solo portrait of Lilibet has been released, and Archie hasn’t had one issued either. The couple remains committed to protecting their children’s privacy and security.
While in Cali, Meghan participated in a panel discussion titled “Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity” with Vice President Márquez, focusing on the contributions of Afro-Colombians to the country’s heritage. During this session, Meghan highlighted the importance of inspiring future generations of girls, sharing a light-hearted update about Lilibet discovering her voice: “We’re so proud of that… it’s about creating an environment where girls know they can be heard.”
Throughout their Colombian engagements, Harry and Meghan focused on their philanthropic initiatives, particularly concerning online safety for young people. On the first day, they participated in the “Summit on a Responsible Digital Future” at Universidad EAN. Meghan emphasized the vital role that adults play in modeling a safe and supportive upbringing for children: “It doesn’t matter where you live… we can actively work every day to improve what’s happening online.”
