Angelina Jolie’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, made his red carpet debut this past Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival following a serious bicycle accident in July.
At 20 years old, Pax, the second-youngest of Jolie’s six children with Brad Pitt, attended the premiere of Without Blood alongside his mom. He displayed visible scars from his July incident, where he collided with a car while riding his electric bike.
Dressed in a sleek black suit, Pax sported a cast on his right arm and protective sunglasses that didn’t quite cover the scars on his forehead. After the accident, he required hospitalization for “complex trauma,” initially staying in the ICU before being moved to a general ward, as reported by Us Weekly. His recovery is expected to involve extensive therapy.
A close source expressed the family’s gratitude for the prompt and life-saving response from first responders and medical staff after the incident. Other outlets, like E!, confirmed that there were no criminal charges related to the accident.
Pax’s siblings, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, are biological children of Jolie and Pitt, along with adopted siblings Maddox, Pax, and Zahara. The couple married in 2014 after a decade together but separated two years later, during which their children reportedly grew apart from their father.
In a notable gesture, Shiloh recently sought to legally change her last name to Jolie, reflecting her support for her mother amid the couple’s tumultuous divorce. Vivienne and Zahara also seem to have distanced themselves from Pitt, with the former taking on the name “Vivienne Jolie” in a theater program, and the latter identifying as “Zahara Marley Jolie” in college.
A family insider mentioned, “They’ve struggled to forgive and connect with Brad since the divorce.” The source added that Jolie has raised her kids with love and selflessness, making it challenging for them to witness their father’s disagreements with her.
