Prince George, the eldest son of Prince William and Princess Kate, celebrates his 11th birthday on July 22, following a challenging year for the Wales family.
Throughout the past 12 months, George has made appearances at various notable events, such as the royal Christmas Day service at Sandringham with King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the Trooping the Colour festivities in London.
During the early months of 2024, George, along with his siblings, kept a low profile as Princess Kate underwent abdominal surgery and started her preventive chemotherapy treatment due to a cancer diagnosis.
Despite the challenges, the prince has been by his father’s side at significant sports events, appeared in heartwarming family portraits, and even had the opportunity to meet global superstar Taylor Swift.
Birthday Celebrations
For his 10th birthday in 2023, Prince William and Princess Kate unveiled a new portrait of George captured at Windsor Castle grounds by the family’s favorite photographer, Millie Pilkington.
The relaxed portrait showcased George’s bright smile, sporting a casual ensemble of a checked shirt, green chinos, and brown suede shoes.
Memorable Moments
In October 2023, George joined his father to witness a Rugby World Cup quarterfinal match between Wales and Argentina in Marseille, France. Unfortunately, the Wales team faced defeat, losing 17-29 to the Argentines.
Family Engagements
During December, George, along with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, attended the “Together at Christmas” carol concert hosted by Kate at Westminster Abbey. The kids participated in the candlelit service and observed performances acknowledging community contributions across Britain.
