A social media post by Travis Scott has gained significant attention following his recent arrest in Paris.
The rapper, also known as Jacques Bermon Webster II, was detained on August 9 after an altercation with his bodyguard at the Four Seasons Hotel George V. Reports from Valeurs Actuelles and Le Parisien indicate that the incident occurred around 5 a.m. while Scott was reportedly intoxicated, leading to a charge of “acts of violence” against his bodyguard.
Scott, who shares two children with Kylie Jenner, was in Paris for the Olympic Games. On Thursday night, he was seen enjoying the basketball semifinal where the U.S. team made a comeback to defeat Serbia 95-91 after trailing by 13 points entering the final quarter.
During the game, Scott took to X (formerly Twitter) to request an Olympic jersey from basketball star LeBron James, hilariously tweeting: “Somebody tell @KingJames I need Olympic jerzzzz.”
As of now, the post has reached over 1.1 million views.
In a follow-up tweet, Scott exclaimed, “That game was f****** wilddddddd,” which also drew nearly 900,000 views.
This isn’t Scott’s first brush with the law; he was previously arrested in Miami on June 20 for charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. Police noted a strong smell of alcohol, and Scott admitted, “It’s Miami.”
After his Miami arrest, Scott reacted light-heartedly on X, posting “lol” and reassuring fans of his dedication to an upcoming tour, stating, “6 days to circus Maximus tour. For the record, I’m going. Ham.”
In a rather bold move, the day following his Miami arrest, Scott began selling T-shirts featuring his mugshot.
