A mother named Kaci Driggers is making waves online with her unconventional approach to family dinners. At just 26, Kaci decided to swap traditional dishes for a giant sheet of aluminum foil to serve her spaghetti, aiming to cut down on the cleanup.
In a viral Instagram video, she documents the fun moment as she prepares dinner for her three kids, aged 8 months to 6 years. With her husband, Casey, she lays out the foil on the dining table as a creative makeshift “plate.”
“My kids love spaghetti and making messes, so this was perfect,” Kaci explains. The kids dive in with their hands before she hands them forks, adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Since posting on June 28, the video has garnered over 6 million views and 72,000 likes, igniting mixed reactions online. While some viewers were puzzled by the foil choice, others found inspiration in her creative meal idea. One user even said they planned to try it for a family fun night.
Kaci also reflected on her initial hesitations about sharing her home life on social media. In the video, she admits, “I recently told a friend that I don’t like hosting people… it made me realize I needed to change my perspective.”
