This adorable husky-Akita mix recently captured hearts on TikTok with videos showcasing his sweet nightly ritual with the family.
In a viral clip, Ludo is seen checking in on Jaxon, his owner’s son, snuggling close to ensure he’s peacefully asleep.
A text overlay amusingly asks, “You okay little dude?” After determining that Jaxon is sound asleep, Ludo settles down by the bedroom door.

Owner Tia Layock shared that this adorable tradition began when Jaxon moved to his own room two years ago. As Jaxon has grown, Ludo’s nightly check-ins expanded to include his younger sister Bonnie, who is now 2.
Part of Ludo’s routine involves accompanying Layock or her partner as they check on their kids before bedtime.
In her video, Layock, known on TikTok as @8pawsand4littlefeet, wrote, “No bond like a dog and his kid,” and since its posting on August 4, it has received over 20 million views.
The heartwarming footage drew hundreds of comments, with many users calling Ludo the family “protector.” One commenter noted, “You have a home filled with presence, care, respect, and belonging,” while another shared a similar sentiment about their own pet.
Interestingly, it’s not just dogs that check on their families. A user mentioned their cat does the same every night.
