A dog named Digby stole the spotlight at his humans’ wedding, and he found a charmingly hilarious way to signal that he was ready to call it a day.
Larissa, the owner of LK Photo & Video in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, couldn’t help but rave about her 10-month-old furry friend who had a special role in the ceremony.
Incorporating pets into weddings is becoming a trend as couples seek to make their big day more personal. A recent OnePoll survey revealed that 60% of 2,000 dog owners surveyed knew someone who had their dog at their wedding.
Dogs are stepping into various roles; the top three include ring bearer (50%), flower girl (17%), and page boy (13%). Interestingly, 9% of respondents were even open to having a dog as the best man.
While Digby didn’t have a formal title, he certainly made an impression at the wedding held on September 28 at Drumtochty Castle, Laurencekirk.
However, as the day progressed, Digby began to show signs of fatigue during a group photo session.
“He was such a good boy, following commands and posing beautifully,” Larissa shared.
But it wasn’t long before Digby’s boredom set in. In a funny moment captured by Larissa, which she later uploaded to the LK Photo & Video TikTok account (@lk_photoandvideo), Digby started chasing his own tail, much to the amusement of the bride, groom, and their guests.
The 28-second clip humorously shows Digby rolling over and trying to entertain himself. “He was clearly saying he was done with photos and needed some attention,” Larissa explained.
After a long day of duties, Digby was definitely entitled to a break, and his tail-chasing antics wrapped up his participation beautifully. We can only hope the little guy was rewarded with some tasty treats for his efforts!
