In the footage, the Labrador struts cautiously, avoiding nearby puddles. However, due to a slippery layer of green algae, the water seems more like solid ground than a canal.
At one point, the playful pup lunges forward—likely in pursuit of a couple of ducks—and unexpectedly tumbles into the water. After a brief splash, it scrambles back to shore and gives a good shake as the video wraps up.

“Cyanobacteria can be found all over North America,” the experts noted, pointing out that these blooms are more likely to occur in late summer and fall when temperatures rise and rainfall diminishes.
