A little dachshund puppy is determined to show that size doesn’t matter and he can keep up with the big dogs, much to the delight of his owner.
Earl B, a tiny pup, has recently joined his owner Renee Blevins and her two other dogs in Georgia, and he’s already making a big impression despite his small stature.
At just 10 weeks old, Earl B behaves like a seasoned pro, especially evident during meal times when he confidently approaches his larger siblings, Piper the 12-year-old pit bull mix, and Belle the three-year-old chocolate Labrador, eyeing their food much to their chagrin.
Renee, sharing Earl B’s adorable antics on TikTok as NayNayBlevins, reveals that this behavior is a regular occurrence as Earl B believes he’s on par with his much larger roommates.
According to Renee, Earl B emulates his siblings by following them around, playing with their toys, and attempting to share their meals, oblivious to his mere three-pound size.
Despite their initial annoyance, Piper and Belle will eventually appreciate Earl B’s playful presence, as studies show that dogs benefit from the companionship of other animals.
A recent study published in Evolution, Medicine & Public Health found that dogs living with other companion animals tend to be healthier compared to those without such companions.
While Piper and Belle might not be thrilled with Earl B’s antics during mealtimes, Renee is unfazed, confident that her dogs are familiar with dachshund behavior.
Renee suspects that her bigger dogs might be a bit intimidated by the spirited little dachshund, given his tiny size and boundless energy.
Even she is amazed by Earl B’s fearless attitude, noting that he fearlessly attempts stairs, bed jumps, and couch leaps, displaying a true daredevil spirit. “He’s unafraid of everything, a little adventurer,” she says. “That’s typical of dachshunds—they see themselves as top dogs!”
Renee happily reports that Belle is warming up to Earl B and the two are starting to play together, with Earl B’s “big dog complex” adding extra charm and entertainment to their household.
