A heartwarming video of a senior golden retriever named London has recently captured the attention of social media, racking up over 7,000 likes and 46,600 views. The footage showcases London, a 12-year-old pup, bravely climbing onto a couch for the first time since she moved into her forever home.
Captured by her owner, Brittany Fischer (@brittnayy5), the adorable moment was shared on TikTok. Fischer described how they encouraged London, who finally mustered the courage to jump up, prompting plenty of praise from her owners.
Sadly, London passed away shortly after this touching moment. However, her time with Fischer and her wife was filled with love. Originally named by a previous owner who relocated, London was adopted after her second owner passed away unexpectedly. Fischer recalls fondly, “We knew she was a senior dog, well-behaved, overweight, loved food, but well taken care of and so loved.” The couple cherished their three months together, dubbing it “the summer of London.”

London enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, like sunsets from her inflatable pool, exploring the yard, and going for car rides, while also having a soft spot for treats—especially whipped cream and peanut butter. Although she had a bit of a rivalry with her cat siblings, she found delight in sneaking their food during the night.
