A delightful group of Maine Coon kittens has taken the internet by storm with their comical attempt to join their owner in the bathtub.
In a viral TikTok video, the adorable footage showcases these water-loving felines, who were filmed enthusiastically trying to climb into the tub, attracting over 1.4 million likes and 8.3 million views.
“POV: Trying to have a bath but your Maine Coon kittens are determined to swim,” reads a clever overlay on the clip shared by their owner and breeder from Utah, known as @greekgardenmainecoons.
The video highlights a particularly vocal orange kitten taking the lead, meowing insistently while attempting to scale the tub. Close on its tail are two more kittens—another orange and a black one—gathering to join the fun.
As the camera shifts, you can see three more eager Maine Coons waiting patiently for their turn, while one other kitten lounges in a box, more interested in catching some Z’s than in swimming.
These gentle giants are known for their considerable size, tufted ears, and friendly dispositions. Hailing from Maine, where they are recognized as the official state cat, Maine Coons boast thick, water-repellent fur that enhances their sociable, hearty nature.
