Running clubs are awesome for finding running buddies and boosting your mileage.
But for one woman, joining a run club led to some unanticipated bonuses.
Cindy Sandjo (cindysandjo) shared a glimpse of her running adventure and the surprise guests who made her heart race, and it wasn’t just the cardio.
In a hilarious video that garnered 15.3m views and 692,665 likes on Instagram, she playfully revealed the real reason behind her running journey.
“Meeting new people and bonding over our love for running has been incredibly fulfilling.
“And yes, I’ve had some nice encounters with eligible bachelors, but for now, it’s all about forming connections.”
The video shows Sandjo in her car in workout gear, followed by a charming encounter with two athletic men.
In a forward-facing clip, she captioned, “Looks like I’m a runner now!”
Adding humor, she said, “They say running is good for the heart. I’m just trying to extend my life span.”
According to Runners Need, joining a run club not only introduces you to new people but also boosts morale, provides motivation, safety during dark runs, coaching advice, and friendly competition.

Commenters were inspired by Sandjo’s running journey.
One user joked, “I finally understand why people run willingly, without being chased. It makes sense now.”
Another commenter quipped, “Is it a Run club or a YUM club?”
One woman amusingly said, “I hope they’d carry me to safety if I collapsed. I can’t run to save my life, but I’m joining this club anyway! It’ll be a great story for the grandkids.”
Several women expressed their intent to run to Dallas, where Sandjo’s run club is located.
Sandjo humorously noted in her caption, “Experts prescribe running for a healthy heart.
I’m just here trying to clock more life years!”
Running just 10 minutes daily significantly reduces the risk of heart disease, as per WebMD.
