Even with a broken heart, Taylor Swift can still deliver a performance — even if there’s a little onstage mishap!
Taylor Swift‘s global tour, Eras Tour, has been playfully dubbed “the 3.5-hour show,” constantly making headlines in the pop culture scene with its record-breaking feats. However, every show isn’t without its hiccups.
During the recent Edinburgh Night 2 performance on July 8th, Swift, 34, was accidentally hit in the face by the ornate feathers of her backup dancer’s fan while singing “I Can Do it With a Broken Heart” from The Tortured Poets Department.
In a viral TikTok video capturing the nearly imperceptible moment, Swift sings the line, “Lights, camera, b****, smile,” right as dancer Kam Saunders unintentionally brushes her cheek with the feathered fan.
“It’s like accidentally punching your boss in the face lol 😂,” joked one fan.
Some fans even found the mishap so subtle and quick that they couldn’t quite figure out what happened. “What happened?” asked one person, to which another playfully replied, “She is so good you could barely spot it 😉😂.”
For some fans, it was all about the camaraderie between Swift and her dancers. “I adore Cam [sic]. In my mind, they are besties and have sleepovers together. 🤣🤷♀️,” one fan mused.
Saunders himself has been making waves across Europe during Swift’s Eras Tour. Apart from his countdown performance in “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” he charmed the Scottish crowd by tweaking lyrics during the song “We Aren’t Ever Getting Back Together” at the first Eras Edinburgh show on June 6th.
Intriguingly, besides his role on Swift’s tour, Kam has also fostered a connection between Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as his brother Khalil Saunders plays with Kelce on the Kansas City Chiefs.
