Rapper 50 Cent playfully teased BeyoncĂ© about her supposed <a href="https://newslivecenter.com/tag/country-music/”>country music venture by dropping a country twist on one of his classic songs.
The rapper, known as Curtis Jackson III, took to X (previously Twitter) to share a video where he’s transformed into Conway Fitty for a country rendition of “In da Club.” The clip features him in a suit with a polished look.
The video includes familiar lyrics from his original track like “You can always find me at the club with a bottle of bub” but adds a funny touch with “tight-fitting jeans” towards the end.
In jest, 50 Cent joked about his upcoming country album, suggesting he’s got more to offer than BeyoncĂ©. His post garnered 934,000 views by the time of writing.
Originally from Instagram @there_i_ruined_it, where Dustin Ballard from California began creating song parodies during the pandemic out of sheer fun. With a mission to “ruin as many favorite songs as possible,” the project has garnered a mix of confusion and fans.
On March 29, BeyoncĂ© dropped her country album “Cowboy Carter,” achieving a significant opening week in 2024 with 407,000 units equivalent in album and streaming sales according to Luminate.
Not new to sharing covers, 50 Cent had previously reposted a TikTok user’s rendition of “Window Shopper” that carried a nostalgic vibe.
With a quirky AI-generated cover of his song circulating online, 50 Cent found it amusing and shared his thoughts as the video gained over 2.6 million views.
Recently in Washington, D.C., 50 Cent was vocal about promoting Black representation in the alcohol industry alongside civil rights lawyer Ben Crump, the owner of Sire Spirits.
During his trip, the rapper clicked a selfie with Lauren Boebert, leading to a social media frenzy. When faced with criticism, 50 Cent addressed the issue humorously on X.
In his witty post, he quipped about the attention on Lauren, shrugged off the criticism, and cheekily mentioned that he’s not chlamydia, ending with a light-hearted “LOL.”
On a different note, Boebert had faced backlash for alleged inappropriate behavior during a production at a theater in Denver in 2023.
