Just hours before his untimely death, a popular YouTuber was immersed in creating new content for his massive fanbase.
Ben Potter, also known as Comicstorian and Mangastorian on YouTube, tragically passed away on June 8 due to an accident, as shared by his wife.
His primary YouTube channel, where he produced audio dramatizations of comic book tales with his team, boasted over 3 million subscribers.
Responding to fans on Twitter who showed interest in comics he adored, Potter assured them of a forthcoming video.
“Mangastorian’s video is coming tomorrow. The edits are a bit behind, but we’re committed to getting it out. ‘My Hero,’ which I’ve finished but not yet released, will also be out,” he shared, referencing ‘One Piece,’ a beloved Japanese manga series by Eiichiro Oda.
Just moments earlier, Potter had agreed to recreate the newly launched ‘Doom #1’ for a new fan who reached out, featuring the iconic character Doctor Doom from Marvel comics.
Potter’s wife, Nathalie Potter, broke the heartbreaking news of his passing in a moving statement on their main YouTube channel.
She described Ben as a loving and attentive individual who always sought to bring joy to others and be a source of support for his family and friends.
Highlighting his dedication to sharing captivating stories through his YouTube channel for over a decade, Nathalie vowed to continue honoring his legacy by continuing to produce content with their team.
“To preserve his memory, I will keep sharing amazing stories penned by incredible writers and pay tribute to him,” she affirmed.
She concluded by expressing her commitment to upholding their shared dreams and not letting Ben’s admirable work come to an end.
