Jon Stewart called out companies for cashing in on Pride Month, emphasizing that their efforts are driven solely by profits.
He poked fun at brands like Burger King, Skittles, and Oreo for their recent Pride campaigns.
Stewart mocked Target for reducing its Pride displays due to backlash, saying, “They care so much about Pride that they squeezed a tiny Pride section in their massive store, selling Pride shirts for just 29 cents from Indonesia.”
In a humorous exchange, Stewart joked about being labeled as a “gay pervert” by a conservative commentator for shopping at Target, questioning, “Even though I only get paper towels?”
He also criticized Bud Light for backing down following a conservative boycott in 2023 after partnering with transgender advocate Dylan Mulvaney, causing a decline in company shares.
Stewart highlighted the profit-driven nature of corporations, likening them to Patrick Bateman from American Psycho.
