An amusing video of President Joe Biden standing still at a Juneteenth event has turned into a viral Taylor Swift-related meme.
The footage, originally posted by Fox News, showed Biden standing while others, including Vice President Kamala Harris, danced around him to music.
Swift’s fan account, @thehopeofit4ll, retweeted the video with the caption “I realized Taylor Swift was real when I went to the concert,” and it quickly gained over 1.3 million views.
One person joked, “Hahah, I thought: That’s Taylor Swift, just standing there like me at her concert.”
Some viewers were intrigued by Biden’s stillness, with one asking, “Why is he not blinking?” while another quipped, “It looks like he used the wrong glue for his dentures.”
The video resurfaced previous criticisms of Biden’s public behavior and raised questions about his fitness for office, given his age and past gaffes.
White House spokesperson Andrew Bates clarified that Biden was indeed moving in the video but did not join in the dancing.
On the other hand, Taylor Swift is currently on her record-breaking “Eras Tour,” featuring 152 performances on five continents with a large ensemble and a revamped show inspired by her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
After touring Europe, Swift will make stops in Miami and New Orleans before wrapping up in Canada, just in time for her 35th birthday on December 13th.
