Ever heard of Wordle? Fans have been obsessing over this daily five-letter puzzle for quite some time now.
This game was recently acquired by The New York Times. Players now get 6 tries to crack the daily word. A color-coded system helps in identifying the right positions of the letters in the word.
Green tiles mean you’ve got a letter in the right spot. Yellow means the letter is in the word but not where you guessed. Gray tiles indicate that the letter isn’t in the word at all.
Aslan says, “Picking the right starting letter is key.” Common vowels like ‘e’ and ‘a’, consonants like ‘r’ and ‘t’, or common sound patterns can give you an edge.
As you make guesses, use the feedback to apply phonics knowledge and narrow down the possibilities.
