Getting married alongside your best friends is a dream for many brides, but how about tying the knot all in the same year?
Lindsay Morrow, Alex Kuzior, and Rachel Starr didn’t just attend each other’s weddings, they meticulously planned theirs from August 2023 until June 2024.
Morrow, based in Hershey, Pennsylvania, shared that the trio hit it off instantly as colleagues. They were always together at work, forming a strong bond.
The idea of a joint wedding video came about in 2022 when Morrow and Kuzior, both active on the “wedding-tok” app, decided to document their special moments.
Morrow was captivated by Kuzior’s eclectic music taste and bold color choices, like having a unique soundtrack including a cover of Jurassic Park during the processional and unconventional song selections for the reception.
Morrow tied the knot first with her high school sweetheart in a charming garden setting in September 2023. Her wedding featured a harp performance, a photobooth, and nods to her favorite TV show, The Sopranos. The evening ended on a perfect note.
Starr will be the last to wed in June 2024. Morrow described her friend’s wedding as emotional and dynamic, with a stunning entrance and captivating dance routines, including backflips and a memorable father-daughter dance to ABBA’s Dancing Queen.
Distinct Weddings with Shared Elements
Morrow highlighted how the weddings showcased the couples’ personalities but also shared common threads as they meticulously planned every detail in a group chat.
Their weddings included nods to their pets with signature drinks named after them, cookies shaped like their silhouettes, and shared vendors.
As her wedding season winds down, Morrow reflects on the deep bond forged through this shared experience, stating that planning together brought them even closer and watching her friends marry was truly unforgettable.
