On Sunday, the Los Angeles Dodgers secured a spot in the World Series against the New York Yankees, and the buzz around ticket sales is electric.
Fans are eager to witness a showdown that hasn’t happened in 43 years, with Game 1 tickets on resale platforms starting at over $1,000.

If the series extends to a Game 5 on October 30 at Yankee Stadium, tickets will start around $1,050. Should the Dodgers need games 6 and 7 back in L.A., expect to pay $1,259 and $1,358 respectively.
Fans took to social media, expressing disbelief over the skyrocketing prices.
And it doesn’t stop there—NBC San Diego reported that tickets behind home plate at Dodger Stadium are fetching between $15,000 and $20,000.
Earlier this week, the Dodgers made a limited number of tickets available for their fans, starting at $828, which sold out in a blink—90 minutes, to be precise, according to Arash Markazi of The Sporting Tribune.
This marks the fourth World Series appearance for the Dodgers in eight seasons, although their last championship win was in the COVID-affected 2020 season. The Yankees haven’t made a Series appearance since their 2009 victory.
The Dodgers clinched the National League pennant on their home soil for the first time since 1988 by beating the Mets 10-5 in Game 6 of the NLCS, coinciding with the anniversary of their win over the Oakland A’s in ’88.
The two iconic teams have faced each other in the World Series twelve times, predominantly during the years 1941-1981, but haven’t clashed for the title since.
