Bulls Legend’s Son Joins Top Contender in Exciting Multi-Year Agreement

The Memphis Grizzlies have officially signed Scotty Pippen Jr., the son of legendary NBA player Scottie Pippen, to a multi-year contract, as reported by Shams Charania of ESPN.

According to Charania, the deal was finalized with the help of Pippen Jr.’s representatives, CEO Rich Paul and agent Shy Saee from Klutch Sports.

Initially, Pippen Jr. joined the Grizzlies on a two-way deal in January but is now officially part of the 15-man roster. Last season, he played 21 games, starting 16 and averaging 12.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.

This preseason, he has continued to impress, helping the Grizzlies secure a 3-1 record while averaging 10.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in four games.

Standing at 6 feet 1 inch, Pippen Jr. went undrafted in 2022 but initially signed with the Los Angeles Lakers and their G League team. He showcased his talent in the G League’s Next Up Game after a standout season there.

During his brief time with the Lakers, Pippen Jr. played in just six games, averaging 2.3 points and limited minutes on the court. His move to the Grizzlies has provided him with a more stable position, especially after effective performances with both the Grizzlies and their G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.

Before turning pro, he excelled at Vanderbilt, where he started in 89 of 90 games, being named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and earning first-team All-SEC honors in his final two seasons, averaging over 20 points.
