Get ready, basketball fans! The Golden State Warriors are gearing up to host the 2025 NBA All-Star festivities, which are sure to be the highlight of the season. This annual celebration of the league brings together the cream of the crop for a weekend filled with exciting games and entertainment.
While the action will primarily take place in San Francisco, the spotlight will also shine on Oakland, where the legendary Oakland Arena will host several major events, including the All-Star Celebrity Game, All-Star Practice, and the HBCU Classic.
Kelly Flatow, the NBA’s executive vice president, mentioned this exciting news during a chat with NBC Sports Bay Area. “We’re excited to bring as many events to the Bay Area as possible,” he said. “Oakland Arena is a fantastic venue, and we’re thrilled to have activities at both Chase Center and Oakland Arena.”
Flatow also emphasized the Bay Area’s appeal to fans worldwide, stating, “It’s a global celebration of basketball, and San Francisco has hosted many remarkable events, including the NBA Finals. It’s incredible to see the NBA All-Star Game return 25 years later.”
Since opening in 2019, the Chase Center has hosted numerous high-profile events, but the upcoming All-Star weekend is poised to be a standout affair.
“This will be an epicenter for the basketball world for an entire week, not just a weekend,” Flatow added. “We expect fans from around the globe to join us in celebrating all things basketball.”
The Oakland Arena, formerly known as Oracle Arena, served as the Warriors’ home from 1971 until they moved to Chase Center in 2019 and witnessed their three championship victories in a four-year span. Now, it’s set to be a key venue for this year’s All-Star festivities.
