Amber Rose’s Speech at Republican Convention Praised as ‘Classy’

Model Amber Rose received high praise from supporters of former President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement for her recent speech at the Republican National Convention. Despite previously criticizing Trump, Rose endorsed him in May, leading to significant backlash when it was announced she would speak at the convention due to her involvement in the Los Angeles “SlutWalk,” a feminist movement against slut-shaming and sexual assault.

During her speech, Rose expressed a realization that Trump and his supporters embrace everyone, regardless of race or sexual orientation, which resonated with her. Trump, visible in the audience with a bandage on his right ear, seemed pleased during her address.

Following her speech, Trump supporters on social media, like MAGA influencer Gunther Eagleman, applauded Rose for speaking out against what they perceive as media misinformation about Trump.

Conservative commentator Christian Watson emphasized the importance of embracing diverse voices like Rose’s within the Republican party, applauding her for admitting she was misled by the media and praising her for her authenticity and change of perspective. Similarly, Twitter users such as @saras76 and @MJTruthUltra commended Rose for her heartfelt speech and for challenging the narratives she once believed.

Amidst the praise, some critics, including MSNBC host Joy Reid, questioned Rose’s credibility as a political influence and urged viewers to conduct thorough research. Columnist Justin Baragona even doubted Trump’s familiarity with Rose in a tweet sharing an image of him watching her speech.

Conservative activist Matt Walsh criticized Rose’s speech, labeling it an embarrassment and not impactful in mobilizing voters, while denouncing the Republican Party for giving her a prominent platform despite her controversial background.

Despite varying opinions, Rose’s speech stirred discussions on political engagement and the need for diverse perspectives within the conservative movement.
