Donald Trump Launches His Most Intense X Campaign Since January 6

Former President Donald Trump has made a notable return to posting on his X account, previously known as Twitter. On a recent Sunday, he launched a flurry of six posts in just under two hours, primarily attacking the Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 election.

This marks Trump’s most extensive posting session since January 6, 2021, when he was permanently banned for violating platform guidelines. After Elon Musk acquired the platform and reinstated Trump in 2022, his activity had been sporadic, mainly limited to his own platform, Truth Social.

On Sunday, he returned with his trademark all-caps emphasis and nicknames. His first post, timed at 11:57 a.m. ET, tackled Middle East tensions. He questioned U.S. leadership by stating: “Who is negotiating for us in the Middle East? Bombs are dropping! Sleepy Joe is sleeping on a beach while Comrade Kamala is on a campaign bus tour!”

At 12:08 p.m., Trump posted about the significance of the upcoming election, stating: “NOVEMBER 5TH WILL BE THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA!”

He continued with sharp critiques of Harris, labeling her a “communist” and claiming she would drag the U.S. into conflict. At 1:06 p.m., he declared, “There will be no future under Comrade Kamala Harris…!”

Trump criticized the current administration’s foreign relations, claiming that respect for the U.S. has diminished since he left office. He further asserted that “Kamala and her handlers” were attempting to blame him for recent failures. His posts also touched on issues like Social Security and economic policies, warning that Harris’s potential presidency would worsen financial conditions for Americans.

Trump’s latest tirade highlights his continued strategy of engaging voters online as he seeks to solidify his position ahead of the 2024 election.
