Former President Donald Trump recently made a controversial statement suggesting that one of his supporters would consider suicide rather than voting for President Joe Biden.
During a rally in Las Vegas, Trump jokingly pointed out a man in the crowd, implying he would never vote for Biden, saying, “Wouldn’t it be incredible if he voted for Biden? I don’t think so. It might lead to suicide before voting for Biden, right?”
While some criticized Trump’s comment on social media, lawyer Bernie Wong questioned, “Does Trump want to see people resort to suicide before Biden is elected? Suicide is not a laughing matter.”
Trump’s remarks have sparked strong reactions, with some calling him “dangerous” and “unhinged.” His rally in Las Vegas marked his first major appearance since a New York jury found him guilty of fabricating documents in 2016.
During his speech, Trump made light-hearted comments about not needing his fans but asking for their votes. He joked about the malfunctioning teleprompters, claiming he never used them despite spending money on them.
It’s clear that Trump’s humor and statements continue to divide opinion and generate controversy.
