Empty Seats Captured in Videos from Donald Trump’s Long Island Rally

Recent footage from Donald Trump’s rally in Long Island has sparked discussions after it showed numerous empty seats toward the end of his speech. The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which can accommodate 16,000 people, started off packed, with additional crowds watching from outside on big screens.

Twitter user @19joho shared clips from the rally highlighting the noticeable empty seats as Trump’s 84-minute speech progressed. While Trump often boasts about his rally sizes, the visuals contradicted his claims. Vice President Kamala Harris had previously remarked about attendees leaving early due to “exhaustion and boredom,” to which Trump countered, stating “People don’t leave my rallies. We have the biggest rallies, the most incredible rallies in the history of politics.”

One clip from the 28th minute of his speech reveals a relatively full venue, although a few empty seats can be seen in the upper sections. Another clip, captured at the 74th minute while Trump urged for American-made products, shows even more vacant seats above. The third clip, from the 80th minute, displays significant empty sections as Trump discusses the implications of current events.

Throughout the rally, Trump emphasized his crowd sizes multiple times. He began by expressing gratitude for the sizable turnout and later highlighted that he had been able to pack the venue multiple times before. Trump joked about his wife Melania’s new book and claimed, “Nobody could draw crowds like me, nobody, not even close.”

In another anecdote, he mentioned a young boy named Liam and contrasted the crowd’s atmosphere to watching on large screens from outside, insisting that the live experience was incomparable.

Despite the empty seats captured in footage, many Trump supporters shared videos showcasing the initial full house, which led some to speculate about potential surprises in New York’s presidential vote. Trump seemed optimistic, asserting, “I can win New York… Your love for your state will come roaring back.”
