A former aide of Donald Trump is not too happy with the MAGA supporters’ reaction to Hunter Biden‘s recent conviction for gun possession.
Alyssa Farah Griffin aired her thoughts in an article on The Daily Beast where she called out Trump supporters for their premature celebrations. She believes that the conviction actually benefits Joe Biden, not Trump.
Appearing before the House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol attack, Griffin humorously remarked, “After Donald Trump’s 34 felonies and Hunter Biden’s 3 felonies, I’ve decided not to vote for either of them.”
Hunter Biden was found guilty of lying about drug use on a background-check form while purchasing a gun in 2018 and holding onto the firearm while struggling with drug addiction.
Despite Hunter Biden’s conviction, Trump remains embroiled in legal battles after being found guilty of falsifying records to cover up payments to Stormy Daniels. Trump continues to deny the allegations and plans to appeal.
Griffin highlighted the dissimilarities in the responses to these convictions by Biden and Trump. While Biden expressed pride in his son’s recovery journey, Trump and his team focused on deflecting attention to unproven claims of wrongdoing by the Bidens.
No evidence has been provided to support the allegations against the Biden family, despite ongoing investigations by House Republicans attempting to find grounds for impeachment.
Griffin argues that the justice system’s handling of Hunter Biden’s case contradicts claims of a biased “two-tiered” system and demonstrates the judiciary’s commitment to impartiality.
These contrasting reactions to legal issues within the two political camps further underscore the divide in approach and rhetoric between the Trump and Biden administrations.
