Hey there, in the latest poll results for the 2024 presidential race, President Joe Biden has taken the lead from former President Donald Trump for the first time this month.
Recent polls showed Trump narrowly edging out Biden, but after his recent legal cases, Biden has surged ahead. The race remains very close for this potential 2020 rematch.
Both Biden and Trump are looking like the presumptive nominees for their respective parties even before the conventions.
The latest Presidential election tracking poll by Morning Consult, released on Wednesday, puts Biden ahead of Trump. The poll was conducted from June 7 to 9, with a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point.
In this poll, 44% of respondents said they would vote for Biden, while 8% opted for another candidate, and 5% were undecided.
Trump narrowly led among independent voters, but concerns are rising about an independent candidate affecting the race.
Despite this latest poll, Trump still holds a slight overall lead in other surveys.
Biden and Trump are gearing up for their first debate at the end of the month, with the election scheduled for November 5.
The first debate, set for June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia, promises to cover crucial topics like the economy, reproductive rights, and foreign relations.
