Join JD Vance for a Chance to Fly on Air Force 2 with Trump!

This past Sunday, Donald Trump’s campaign introduced an exciting opportunity for supporters: the chance to win an all-expenses-paid ride on Air Force Two with Ohio Senator JD Vance, who they hope will be the next vice president. The campaign’s fundraising initiative invites fans to contribute any amount to enter the giveaway.

In their promotional email, the campaign declared, “JD Vance didn’t just ask anyone to join…He asked for YOU, a true MAGA Patriot!” This tagline emphasizes the strong connection with Trump’s Make America Great Again movement.

The email directs recipients to a donations page displaying recent contributions, showcasing a rolling banner of donors and their amounts. It’s worth noting that Air Force Two is the aircraft designated for the vice president, currently assigned to Kamala Harris.

Details about the flight are still up in the air—literally—as it remains uncertain when and where it would take place, largely because the election hasn’t happened yet.

This announcement comes shortly after both the Harris and Trump campaigns released their July fundraising totals, with Harris outpacing Trump significantly. After jumping into the presidential race following President Biden’s exit on July 21, Harris raised a remarkable $200 million in her first week, totaling $310 million for the month according to her campaign. Spokesperson Kevin Munoz highlighted that over $81 million was gathered within the first 24 hours of her campaign launch.

The Harris campaign kicked off August with an impressive $377 million cash reserve, the highest for any candidate at this stage. In comparison, Trump’s campaign reported $327 million available to start the month.

July was not without drama for Trump, as a shooting occurred during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, injuring the former president and attendees while tragically resulting in the death of a former firefighter. A few days later, Trump formally accepted his nomination at the Republican National Convention, announcing Vance as his running mate.

Trump’s campaign claimed to have raised $138.7 million in July. He also participated in a high-profile fundraising dinner in Aspen, where ticket prices ranged from $25,000 to $500,000 per couple.

Meanwhile, Harris is slated to host a fundraiser on Sunday evening in San Francisco alongside former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Attendance for the “Harris Victory Fund” event has been strong, with ticket prices between $3,300 and $50,000, leading to nearly 700 RSVPs and over $12 million raised for the campaign.
