Jordan Peterson‘s viral question online about Donald Trump “releasing the investigation” on deceased sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein is a good example.
In August 2019, the disgraced financier Epstein committed suicide while in jail awaiting his trial for federal charges of conspiracy and trafficking. In the past, he had been convicted for procuring sexual activity with a girl under age.
After years of speculation, Epstein’s former employees, associates, celebrity friends, and victims were revealed in January this year. Virginia Giuffre was an alleged victim of trafficking who filed a suit against Ghislaine maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing underage girls and helping Epstein recruit them.
Many names that appear in documents are not accused of anything wrong or were mentioned in previous legal cases or media accounts. The documents are not an Epstein client list, despite persistent claims on social media.

The issue of Epstein’s association with others continues to dominate the media. A post by Senator John Kennedy, a Louisiana Republican who was questioning FBI director Christopher Wray, touched on this matter.
It is not a video Ken Klippenstein shared a video of Kennedy grilling Wray. He asked him: “What is the FBI doing about the other people who are involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking rings?”
Wray said he wasn’t “sure” whether he had the authority to confirm “any individual.” Kennedy responded by stating that Epstein recorded sex with “prominent people,” then asked if FBI held these recordings.
Wray replied, “I cannot discuss specifics about our law enforcement activities related to Ms. Maxwell or Mr. Epstein.” But obviously, there was a lot of activity in our investigation. “But whether that extends to others, I don’t know if that is something I can comment.”

Edward Snowden responded by saying: “The clip is from 2024. FBI Director refuses to make any comment about the lack of charges against Epstein’s clientele, citing an ongoing investigation.
“The year 2034. FBI director refuses to comment regarding the absence of criminal charges, due to ongoing investigations. It is the year 2094 …”

Media outlets mocked Epstein’s luxurious Boeing 727, calling it the “Lolita Express”, after allegations were made that the plane was used for the transportation of underage girls from Epstein’s multi-millionaire properties.
After Epstein’s death on January 25, lists were shared in social media purporting show who was the famous public figure that visited Little St. James. Little St. James is a private Caribbean island located to the east of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
It was revealed during Maxwell’s trial in 2021 that Trump had traveled on Epstein jets several times back in the 1990s. Trump distanced himself, over time, from Epstein. Then-president Trump claimed that he knew Epstein only because “everyone in Palm Beach” was familiar with him.
I had an argument with him. “I had a falling out with him. “I was not his fan, I tell you,” said he.
A little earlier, however, he had spoken more kindly of his friend.
Trump said, “I have known Jeff for over 15 years.” Trump called him a “terrific man”. New York magazine in 2002. He’s fun to hang out with. Many people have said that he loves beautiful women just as much as me, many of whom are younger.
The U.S. district judge Loretta Preska ruled in December that there was no reason to continue withholding the identities of up to 175 people alleged to be connected to Epstein. She ordered the names to be released from January 1.
It is possible that some portions of Epstein’s records remain secret, such as those which identify people who were minors when Epstein sexually abused them.
Social media users falsely linked celebrities with Epstein’s crimes by adding a variety of stars to Epstein’s guest list.
Jimmy Kimmel and Kathy Griffin have all denied any association with Epstein despite false claims to the contrary.
