The shooting occurred just before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where Trump is expected to unveil his vice presidential choice, setting the stage for the upcoming election against Joe Biden.
The convention lineup, which includes family members, GOP figures, entertainers, and industry leaders, was recently announced by Trump’s campaign. Speculation surrounding Trump’s VP pick is also heating up, with potential candidates like Senator J.D. Vance, Governor Doug Burgum, and Senator Marco Rubio scheduled to speak at the convention.
With the election approaching, recent poll numbers show Trump leading Biden by a narrow margin, adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the upcoming campaign.
