Marco Violi Denies False Shooter Accusations and Requests Privacy

Italian journalist Marco Violi responded on social media after being wrongly linked to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, telling people to “leave me alone.”

Trump was targeted at a campaign rally, but the actual shooter was identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks. Violi was falsely accused online, sparking a surge of attention. Violi, in Italy at the time, denied any involvement and plans to take legal action against those spreading false news.
