Hey folks! The Kentucky State Police have put out mugshots of individuals arrested in relation to the disappearance of 8-month-old Miya Rudd, also known as Miya Tucker.
Tucker and Rudd are facing charges including drug possession, drug paraphernalia possession, organized crime participation, and abandonment. They are currently being held at the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
Ricky Smith, Miya’s grandfather, has also been arrested on charges of abandonment, child abuse, drug use, and firearm possession.
Kentucky State Police officer Corey King mentioned that the investigation faced hurdles due to delayed reporting of Miya’s disappearance. Unfortunately, searches with cadaver dogs did not yield any leads.
The investigation took a significant turn when Miya’s umbilical cord tested positive for methamphetamine. Claims of Miya being in state care could not be substantiated.
Billie Smith, apprehended on a warrant, had her bond set at $25,000 cash. Timothy Roach, another arrestee, has unclear ties to the case.
