TreeHouse Foods, a frozen waffle manufacturer, has expanded its recall of frozen waffles and pancakes originally linked to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Initially, 25 brands were affected, but now the recall includes products from 24 more brands.

- Trader Joe’s
- Wegmans
- Wild Harvest
- Yelloh
The FDA noted that the recall was broadened following further testing at the manufacturing facility.

These products were sold across the U.S. and Canada in stores such as Albertson’s, Aldi, Dollar General, Kroger, and Walmart. Customers should check their freezers for any recalled items and either dispose of them or return them for a refund.
To identify affected products, look for the UPC code on the carton and check the Lot Code and Best By Date on the end of the carton. All Lot Codes related to this recall begin with ‘2C.’
So far, there have been no reported illnesses linked to these products, but the FDA advises anyone who is concerned to consult their healthcare provider. They are also coordinating with retailers to ensure the recalled items are removed from shelves.
**Important Note:** Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe infections, particularly in vulnerable groups such as young children and the elderly. It can be found in various contaminated foods and is known to thrive in refrigerated conditions.
According to the CDC, Listeria leads to approximately 1,600 infections and 260 deaths annually in the U.S., making it a serious concern for food safety.
