Satellite images captured the aftermath of an attack on a Russian airfield reportedly seized by Ukrainian forces.
Brady Africk shared a photo of Morozovsk, a Russian airbase, on June 4 showing an intact roof and runway, with parked planes visible outside. However, by June 14, the roof and runway were destroyed, and no planes were seen outside.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukrainian intelligence for defense, at least 70 drones were used in the attack on the airbase between June 13 and 14. The operation reportedly involved Ukrainian drones Dragon Splash and Splash.
Residents in Morozovsk reported hearing explosives, as per Pravda citing Russian Telegram Channels.
Morozovsk, a military airport in Rostov Oblast, houses Russian Su-24s, Su-24Ms, and Su-34s.
This recent drone strike marks the second major attack on Morozovsk by Ukrainians. Vasily Golubev mentioned a large-scale attack happening on April 4 and 5. Budanov confirmed the possibility of Morozovsk being targeted again.
Claiming to have halted the Russian offensive, Cherniev highlighted the destruction of Russian air defense systems using U.S. weaponry. Cherniev leads the Ukrainian delegation at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Cherniev mentioned the strategic movement of Russian troops and equipment in response to Ukrainian attacks, emphasizing the protection of Ukrainian land near the border.
While attacks on Crimea intensify, Kyiv aims to reclaim the Black Sea Peninsula annexed by Moscow in 2014 amidst the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine since February 2020.
