In Kentucky, authorities have made new arrests in connection with the disappearance of 8-month-old Miya.
Miya’s grandmother, 49-year-old Billie J., was apprehended for domestic violence and assault warrants linked to events in October 2023 during the quest for the missing child.
Another arrest was made, where Timothy L. Roach was charged with possession of controlled substances. His relation to Miya or her family remains unclear.
Miya’s grandmother is being held at the Ohio Country Detention Center under a $25,000 bond.
The Kentucky State Police continue to search for the missing child after her parents were arrested in Ohio County.
Following a welfare check, warrants were issued and investigations commenced. Charges were pressed against Miya’s parents for drug-related offenses and organized crimes.
Additional arrests were made on the same allegations, including Ricky Smith, who faced charges of drug possession and child abuse.
Miya’s parents faced a myriad of charges ranging from drug trafficking to child abuse and involvement in organized crime.
Rudd Tucker and Smith appeared in Ohio County District Court for their charges.
Miya, described as having brown eyes and hair, was allegedly in the custody of Tesla Tucker and Cage C. Rudd. However, the eight-month-old could not be located during the welfare check.
Local residents in Reynolds Station voiced their intentions to aid in the search for Miya, citing concerns about reckless driving behavior by the couple believed to be in custody of the child.
The Kentucky State Police urge anyone with information on Miya Rudd’s whereabouts to contact 270-826-3328.
