In a vibrant event in Georgia, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama took the stage, rallying support as Harris heads into the final stretch of her campaign.
Rock icon Bruce Springsteen set the tone with performances of “The Promised Land,” “Land of Hope and Dreams,” and “Dancing in the Dark.”
Among the star-studded attendees showing their support for Harris were Samuel L. Jackson, director Spike Lee, filmmaker Tyler Perry, and DJ Mix Master David.
As noted by Kajikawa, both Trump and Harris are embracing diverse musical selections on the campaign trail, appealing to a wide range of audiences.
Harris’ campaign has also featured performances from artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Usher, and Stevie Wonder, among others.
Her endorsements include a powerful lineup of musicians such as Taylor Swift, Cher, John Legend, and Cardi B, bringing significant cultural weight to her campaign.
On the other hand, Trump has garnered support from musicians like Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, and Kanye West, according to Billboard Magazine.
This Friday, Beyoncé will join Harris in her hometown of Houston, using the song “Freedom” as an unofficial campaign anthem, even without an official endorsement.
During the Georgia rally, Harris emphasized her message of embracing “joy” in contrast to Trump, who she claims promotes “fear.” This message sharply contrasted with Trump’s earlier rally in Arizona, where he expressed a bleak outlook on immigration and crime, calling the U.S. an “occupied country.”
“November 5 will be liberation day in America,” he declared, presenting a stark view of the future.
